Wet type granulation is the main operation way of rotating drum granulator. Through a certain amount of water or steam, the base fertilizer fully reacts in a chemical way after being wet in the drum body. Then under certain liquid conditions, the rotating motion of the drum makes the material particles get squeezed together in granules.
On one hand, the main motor drives the belt and belt pulley, and transmits to the driving shaft through the reducer. Then the open gears on the driving shaft mesh with the large gear ring and work in the opposite direction. On the other hand, the material is added from the input port and passes through the cylinder. During this process, the special structure inside the cylinder helps to turn powder materials into granules. Finally the finished particles flow out through the discharge port. The continuous entry of materials and the continuous rotation of the granulator are secrets to realize mass production.

Factors influencing granulation effect in rotary drum granulation
Time and frequency of material rolling in the granulator
These two are the primary factors that determine the granulating rate and particle roundness. Because the material depends on the surface tension, the right amount of liquid, the extrusion force generated by the rolling materials to granulate. During the process, it takes small particles as the core and rolling to absorb other materials, finally bonding into balls. So within a certain period of time, the higher the rolling frequency, the higher the granulation rate, and the more rounded granule.
Too much material sticks on the inner wall of granulator
Too much material sticking to the wall will increase the friction between the material and the cylinder wall. Then the material in the machine will be lifted too high and thrown down from the top, so the particles are not round and too large.
There are two reasons for this situation: First, there are too many viscous materials. We can solve this situation by changing the process formula and reducing the amount of viscous materials. In addition, if the granulator has non-smooth interior, the materials also have the possibility of sticking. In this case, we can increase the smoothness of the granulator by changing the internal material.
